Job in the Green Technology Field

In industry, there is a position called an Environmental Technician. The environmental technician is primarily responsible for tasks such as proper disposal of the company's waste. They are also responsible for ensuring that the company is in compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. This can involve inspections, filling out government paperwork, sampling wastes and materials. There are other jobs out there in Green Technology like: Electricians, Carpenters, Geoscientists, Plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters, Environmental engineers, Construction and building inspectors, Environmental scientists and specialists, First-line supervisors/managers of construction trades and extraction workers, Industrial engineers and Construction managers. These positions help better the earth in many different ways.

LED Light Bulbs Increase Popularity of Green Technology

Light emitting diodes are diodes which means they pass electronic components that let electricity pass in only one direction. They emit visible light when electricity is applied, much like a light bulb. When many LEDs are side-by-side, they can create pictures, such as the scrolling red LED signs found everywhere. LED light bulbs are becoming increasingly popular with designers and consumers of green technology, as they use less electricity, last longer, and emit more light on a pound-for-pound basis than traditional incandescent bulbs. However, while it may be tempting to look at them as having solved the problem of environmentally-unfriendly lighting. Traffic signal lights, and automobile head and brake lights, allowed residue to leach from them, and then analyzed its chemical content. They discovered that low-intensity red LED light bulbs contained up to eight times the amount of lead allowed under California law, although generally brighter LED light bulbs tended to contain the most contaminants. While white LED light bulbs had a lower lead content than their colored counterparts, they still had high levels of nickel. They emit visible light when electricity is applied, much like a light bulb. They may be pricey but they are worth it in the end.

10 Reason to Recycle

1. Recycling prevents resource destruction. – Meaning the Earth would be greener.
2. Recycling prevents pollution
3. Recycling saves energy.
4. Recycling saves money.
5. Landfills and incinerators are economic losers. – We lose money landfill and incinerators because we need the money to pay for the energy it takes to run them.
6. Landfills and incinerators are major sources of pollution. –They release harmful gases into the air like methane.
7. Recycling creates jobs. -Every one job in a landfill is 25 jobs in the recycling manufacturing process
8. Our current system of one-way use is not sustainable – meaning that eventually all resources will run out and everybody will have to survive on their own.
9. Our current system of one-way use is not just. – It is not fair and everybody doe not benefit from it
10. Recycling isn’t the only answer.- recycling is not the only way we can prevent the destruction of our planet Earth.

RECYCLING !

Recycling is the process of taking a product at the end of its useful life and using all orsome of the parts of it to make another same or different product. The internationally recognized symbol for recycling includes three arrows moving in a
triangle. Each arrow represents a different part of the recycling process, from collection to re-manufacture to resale. Things you can recycle are:
•Electronics
oCell phones and etc
•Glass
oBottles
•Construction Materials
oBrick, Carpet and etc
•Automotive
oTires and car parts and fluids
•Metal
oHangers, Steel and etc
•Garden
oDirt , Christmas Trees etc
•Hazardous material
oPaint, Pesticides and Pool Chemicals
•Plastic
oBottles, Bags, and Plastic Casings
•Paper
oBooks and etc
•Household
oToys, Light Bulbs and etc
Recycling prevents pollution that is caused by the manufacturing of products from raw materials.

We Have The Whole World In Our Hands

We Have The Whole World In Our Hands. Yes, we surely do. You ask how? Let me tell you. What we do in the environment we live in effects the atmosphere. We are supposedly the cause of Global Warming. By knowing that, we should try to reduce the ways we “contributed to it”. It is said we contributed to it by: 1. Driving Our Cars, because it releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which is known to be a harmful gas. We can reduce the carbon dioxide release by carpooling. 2. Buying a Suburban home, this says we contributed to it because we had lots cleared off of trees and plants that were storing carbon. This means when those plants were killed to build “your dream home”, they released carbon which is harmful and has nowhere to be stored. And 3. Eating supermarket meat, because it requires both the clearing of land for growing animal feeds and the use of enormous fossil fuel-powered machines in the production, which releases methane, which is another harmful gas. We can eliminate these factors by carpooling, not clearing land, and eating less meat a week. This goes to show we can control the environment and make it more positive for us to live in. WE ARE IN CONTROL OF OUR FUTURE.

Go Green . Save Money.

Going Green Can Save Us Money. WHAT? Going green can save you money. You ask how. This is how.
•Save Energy
•Save Water – DO NOT let it run.
•Less Gas – Carpool together. Takes turns driving.
•Eat Smart – One meatless meal a week. Meat is expensive.
•Skip the bottled water.
•Think before you buy – Ask yourself if you really need it. Half the time the answer is no.
•Borrow instead of buying- Attend the library. Borrow the book instead of purchasing it.
•Buy smart – Buy in bulks.
•Keep electronics out the trash – Donate or recycle them responsibly.
•Make your own cleaning supplies –Examples are baking soda, vinegar
ALL THESE OPTIONS CAN HELP YOU SAVE MONEY . CHA-CHING.

Green Products

Green products are products made by man that have less of a negative impact on the environment. Also they are less detrimental to our health. Green products could be formed or part-formed from recycled components. They can also be manufactured in a more energy-conservative way. Green products include recycled paper, pens, notebooks, recycled toilet paper and more. These recycled products are great for us in the long run. It saves money. Everybody loves money so why not try to save it. They are good for the environment, which means they are Eco-friendly. At the same time they are saving us money. ECO-FRIENDLY and SAVING US MONEY = GREAT OPPORTUNITY.
